Miguel Pérez Iñesta, clarinet, and the Munor piano trio (Almuth Chyek, violin; Tobias Tellmann, cello; Marina Johansson, piano and konferansier)
Collaboration with Munor’s Artist in Residence since 2022, the Spanish clarinetist Miguel Pérez Iñesta, is always a creative pleasure. On tonight’s exciting programme are works by both well-known and little-known composers: Robert Schumann, Paul Hindemith, and Joan Albert Amargós. The music of Barcelona-born Amargós is beautiful, expressive and intense; Miguel describes it as ’jazzed-up flamenco!’ This is Iñesta’s last concert as Artist in Residence, but the talented musician and conductor will return in mid-June to perform at the Podium–Farten Valen International Music Festival. At the conclusion of tonight’s concert Munor’s new Artist in Residence will be announced.
The programme will be repeated on 22 March, 19:30, in Falnes kirke (Skudesneshavn) as the opening concert of Classical Easter.
