2022 is still César Franck’s anniversary, 200 years since his birth. The composer and organist played a decisive role in the development of music in France in his time by emphasizing “absolute music” rather than the prevailing genre – opera. Franck also became famous for his organ improvisations, and his great interest in organ music meant a lot for instrumental music. We have picked from his music, but also music from his circle such as Franz Liszt, Gabriel Fauré, Ernest Chausson (student), Anton Reicha (teacher). With us as guest musician we meet Tomas Kadlubiec, violinist from the Czechia and with a long career both as chamber musician and concertmaster.
